And aware we go from here And aware we go from here And aware we go from here One thing that's clear I know, I know, I know, I know by now This too shall fade away But I won't, I won't, I won't, I won't allow A life of yesterday And aware we go from here And aware we go from here And aware we go from here One thing that's clear I know, I know, I know, I know that I That I've left something here But I won't, I won't, I won't, I won't deny It may someday reappear Birds, they circle Circle a castle But they don't know Quite what they're after If they shall capture Soon it won't matter Onto the next one, you'll see And aware we go from here And aware we go from here And aware we go from here And while the story's not quite clear We go on without a fear Which direction should we steer? I pray that path shall soon appear And aware we go from here Where we go from here Where we go This bond I so hold dear to me

Drifting 04:36
Drifting on a stream in the sun Drifting 'til my race has been run Will I ever make it to shore? I don't even care anymore Drifting through this world by and by Drifting with a gleam in my eye Could a feeling such as this go unheard? No sir, now that would be absurd Drifting with a tune in my head The man that wrote it's sure 'nuff long dead Drifting by myself feeling fine You can join me if you feel so inclined Sun rays, they warm up my skin Breeze cools me off again Drifting on with no sense of time Lay here 'til I clear my mind The bees are a'hummin' The cows are a'singin' Sweet nectar is a'flowin' Abundant milk and honey And we're drifting Yeah we're drifting honey We're drifting to the promised land You can join me if you feel so inclined

Bidness 03:01
You wonderin' bout your children Just look how you've perspired Hey you knew the hour would come boy Pack your bags you're fired Let me be the one to learn you Don't you ever speak your mind Cause when you've left your door wide open Then your life is on the line Oh no no No no no It's just business It's only business Are those really years you're cryin'? Do you expect for me to care? I've got all from you I needed So where you came from, go back there Why would I bother with an apple.. When the juice is just not there? I'll sleep just fine this evenin' Whether you smile or feel despair Yeah Oh no no no No no no It's just business You got criminal intentions Are you sure you're justified? G'head and label me the bad guy Try and restore some of your pride You'll never reach me from the bottom I only laugh to watch you try It costs your life to reach the top, girl Are you prepared the sacrifice? Oh no no no No no no Oh no no no No Oh no no no Nooo It's just business

I can't seem to find A very good reason to rhyme Leaving town in a short, short time I'd like to leave something behind But I'm finding it hard To keep open my eyes And I've got no resolution And it's causing me great confusion So.. So let me sing a few more lines Now it's nice to be needed But someday you'll be succeeded Ain't no time to stop and whine Wait your turn, get back in line And when the embers burn hotter Put down that bucket of water The fire's all you got, but it's a double knot Hey just stop And let me sing a few more lines Whoa let me sing a few more lines Oh let me sing a few more lines We're gonna burn it down This road will fall away The fever's brewing now It's a new day We're gonna leave this town Hammer to the steel We're gonna answer why it's fire that I feel Don't let the smoke burn black (Whoa) Don't let the smoke burn black (Whoa) When I feel fine And there's a grin on my mind And this old rockin' chair, it just don't care What clothes it is that I choose to wear And it's so easy to break through the mold As the brown begins to fade to gold But when I think about bloodshed I've got to scratch my head So let me sing a few more lines If you'd let me I'd like to sing a few more lines..

about

We recorded in an old theater in Washington state, the Bingen Theater. I loved it from the second I walked in. That old stuff always makes my stomach feel all funny, like I'd been there before or at least I belong there now, and this was perfect. There's a balcony, so I immediately walked up the steps and sat down in the front row of the balcony and just took it all in. It was freezing in there and nothing was set up, it was kind of a mess, but I looked out at it and it felt like home. Even better, onstage to the left behind two ancient doors was the vocal booth. Just a tiny little space with Christmas lights strung up on the wall, one chair, a tiny table and a mic stand..and it was all I needed. We spent hours setting up, and then we had a week to record whenever our schedule allowed for it. Recording there was incredible for me. When we did our first album, we recorded the tracks in one night and then spent months overdubbing things like vocals, bass, extra guitar tracks..I think that's the norm for recordings these days. For the EP, almost everything you hear was done together and played/sung live. I'm really proud of that, and I don't want to do it any other way anymore. Besides some keyboard tracks, acoustic guitar, some percussion and the trumpets, everything happened at those sessions at the theater. That makes me really happy.
